INTRO TO PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY WITH A SMARTPHONE

Your phone can be a powerful photo tool. In this workshop you learn how to take the photo you want, not the photo your phone wants (in short learn how to set up your phone's camera) and perfect composition elements for the coolest photo you'll post on social media. We photograph the product, i.e. a cup of coffee, the sneakers you wear or a cocktail you like. The workshop is a practical one - Sorin Florea guides you, you take photos, you receive feedback and suggestions. If you want to learn how to use your phone better, if you want to take better photos of your coffee, food, the clothes you wear, etc., or if you simply want more insight to improve your social media feed this is the workshop for you. We have 10 places available. After the workshop we invite you to stay in our garden for drinkies and talks.

Sorin Florea is a photographer and artist with a penchant for geographical, cultural and anthropological exploration; he says he is a "creator of stories which must be told". His works, although photography is the instrument of approach, are not limited to photography but also frequently use video and sound. He has exhibited video and photo works at MARe, MNTRplusC in Bucharest and SR Gallery in Brussels. At CdRF you will see Sorin coordinating the “Is this art?” gallery and meet him as a teacher at our courses and workshops.

"Is this a fest?"/ Photography Days in Bucharest is the first festival under the aegis of CdRF. The first part of the festival is dedicated to education through a series of introductory photography workshops. We have like this:

August 31 – Intro to aesthetics with Adi Bulboacă

In the second part of the event we bring the artistic and the professional to the center. On September 1st we invite you to two openings in our space, on September 2nd we have a portfolio review with advertising professionals, and on September 3rd we have another portfolio review where you can choose your reviewer according to your needs, masterclass and artist talks. Finally, on the evening of September 3, we invite you to the closing event.
